A couple of weeks ago I was lucky enough to join my fellow Emma’s Diary contributors for a lovely day at The Baby Show. For those who don’t know, The Baby Show is an annual event that takes place in various locations in the UK (I went for the London one) and it’s basically a huge gathering of all the biggest (but also lots of lesser known) baby brands showcasing their beautiful baby wares!
I arrived at The Excel at around 11am but I didn’t meet up with the bloggers right away – I had a good nosy around some of the stands first! In fact if I’m honest, my first and second stops were both pregnant lady essentials – the toilets, followed by Costa for a decaf latte!
The first stand that caught my eye was the Cossatto one – it was so gorgeously vintage looking and bright! Their Ooba travel system looked fab (although not fab enough to tempt me away from my beloved Candy but that’s just me!)
Of course I did pay a visit to the fabulous iCandy stand (despite already owning one) to
perv at have a look at the new Peach 3, which I have to say didn’t really seem hugely different to my Peach 2 (perhaps you can’t improve perfection!) but I was happy to learn that the main improvement I was interested in – more space between the seats when used as a Blossom (double) – is possible for me to get without replacing my pushchair, the adapters are available to purchase for the old version. Win! After drooling over all the pretty colours for a while, I managed to drag myself away…
… and almost immediately found myself at the completely swoonworthy Mia Tui bag stand. Oh dear.
To cut a long story short, I revisited the Mia Tui stand about a billion times throughout the day but eventually managed to leave the show without parting with £55 (if you ask me, bargainous for the size and beauty of the bag!) for a Minnie Amelie changing bag. *sob*
I’m not going to lie, three weeks later and I’m still considering buying one. Watch this space.
I eventually caught up with the Emma’s Diary blogging crew over at our area where we went to pay a visit to the lovely ladies at the Lansinoh stand and received fab goody bags – it’s nice to have made a start on my stash of breast pads among other great stuff! Sadly I got overexcited and forgot to photograph the rest of the things in there but it is all now sitting in our new addition’s room, just waiting to be used!
Overall I’m really glad I finally got the chance to visit The Baby Show with Baby Ralph Two, something that we never did when expecting Oliver – we had a great day (in fact I’d seriously consider having a third just so I’d have an excuse to go!) and a certain someone in my tummy was extremely excited and kicking like a crazy thing on the train journey home! Thanks to Emma’s Diary for organising our visit!
In case that last sentence didn’t already make it glaringly obvious, my ticket to The Baby Show was complimentary, courtesy of Emma’s Diary. None of the other brands I’ve mentioned gave me anything in return for mentioning them, I’m just nice like that 🙂
