Ahhh so it’s official! I have a three year old and a one year old (for another couple of months). I realised this morning that it was Siblings day so I apologise for the hastily scribbled out post but I (completely coincidentally) took the most perfect sibling photos at toddler group yesterday so I just had to share them!
It has become a bit of a ritual for us to stop at the bakery on the way to our local toddler group these last few months and yesterday Harry (who has taken a while to really ‘get’ finger food) joined in with this ritual for the first time. So we arrived at toddler group, cookies and latte in hand (no yucky, dishwater tea for me!) and the boys immediately chose to sit together on this bench and eat their cookies while a crowd of toddlers looked on in envy (as they only had regulation, toddler group kid biscuits!)
I just thought they looked so adorable that I started snapping away, completely oblivious to the fact that it was Siblings post day the next day – what luck!
“Hmmm… what’s he got in there? Is it better than mine?”
Harry, at the grand old age of 13 months, is now rejecting all puree and any attempts to spoon feed him, he only wants to eat exactly what the rest of us are having. Although he has been slightly slower on the finger food front, he is showing all the great signs of being a good and adventurous eater just as his big brother was (and mostly still is) so fingers crossed we get as lucky again! He is still not quite walking (despite having started cruising months ago) but I don’t think it will be too long.
Oliver is in the middle of his final week of preschool before he breaks up for the summer holidays. Unfortunately (fortunately?) for him, being a September born means he will be saying goodbye to many of his friends this week as they start ‘big school’ in September while he returns to preschool for another year. He doesn’t really seem too bothered about this now but it will be interesting to see if and who he misses when the time comes!
